毎年恒例！　米映画専門サイト『TC Candler』が選ぶ「The 100 Most Beautiful Face」（最も美しい100の顔）2013年版が発表されました。今年１位に輝いたのはアカデミー主演女優賞の受賞経験もあるフランス人女優マリオン・コティヤール。そこでCheer up!Englishでは、TOP5の選評を和訳してみました。ニュースを題材に英語学習をするのもひとつの手です。今回は番外編として、日本人受賞者6人もご紹介。それでは美女達の祭典をさっそく見ていきましょう！

In three years on our list, Chloë has been 6th, 4th and now 3rd. That is an amazing accomplishment for someone so young. On top of all that, she happens to be one of the most versatile and daring actresses on the scene today. She is well on her way to becoming the most sought-after talent in Hollywood.

クロエの過去３年のランクは6位、4位そして、今回は第3位。これは年若き彼女にとっては素晴らしい功績だ。今日の映画シーンで彼女はトップ入りの中でも最も多彩で大胆な女優である。彼女はハリウッドで最も重宝されるタレントになる道の途中だ。

In only her second year, Emilia Clarke won the Beautiful Faces List in 2012. She just landed the role in the upcoming “Terminator” film, alongside Arnold himself.

Camilla won the Most Beautiful Face of 2010 and has had six straight appearances in our Top 10. That is the longest streak in the Top 10 since Keira Knightley between 2004 and 2009. She is one of our all time favorites and isn’t showing any signs of fading away. Camilla is a strong candidate to return to the Top Spot someday.

カミーラは2010年の同コンテストで優勝し、6年連続TOP10にランクインしている。これはキーラ・ナイトレイの2004年から2009年の連続TOP10入り以来、最長記録である。彼女は我々のお気に入りで、衰えの兆しを見せない。彼女はいつの日かトップに返り咲くだろう最も強力な候補者だ。

Ayumi is a Japanese recording artist, lyricist, model, and actress. Also called “Ayu” by her fans, Hamasaki has been dubbed the “Empress of Pop”.

あゆみは日本のアーティスト、作詞家、モデル、女優だ。またファンには｢あゆ｣という愛称で親しまれ、ポップ界の女王と称される。

This lovely Japanese actress, singer, model and radio personality has one of the freshest faces and brightest smiles in the world today. Her bubbly personality and versatile talent make her one of the most likable and admirable people on our list.

このかわいらしい日本人の女優、歌手、モデル、ラジオのパーソナリティは、今日、世界でもっとも爽やかで輝かしい笑顔を持っている。彼女の天真爛漫な性格と多方面に渡る才能は我々のリストでもっとも好印象で、素敵な人だ。

今回１位に輝いたのはアカデミー賞主演女優賞の受賞経験もあるフランスが誇る名女優マリオン・コティヤールでした。日本からの最高位はイーオンのCMでもお馴染みの石原さとみの32位。英会話スクールのCMにもキャスティングされることもあって世界に通用する美女だということが証明されましたね。来年はどんな美女がランクインされるのでしょうか……。
