I’m a relaxed guy. It’s wonderful to teach English, as I enjoy helping people with their goals, be it traveling overseas and speaking to locals, or giving a presentation in a business meeting. I love watching movies, going to onsens and traveling around Japan with my pug dog.
のんびりした性格です。英語を教えることは素晴らしいことです。なぜなら海外旅行中に現地の人と話すことであれ、ビジネス会議でプレゼンをすることであれ、人が目標を達成するのを手伝えることが私は楽しいからです。映画を観たり、温泉に行ったり、愛犬のパグと一緒に日本中を旅行することが大好きです。

Japanese Glass Furin Wind Chimes
風鈴
理由は？
Both the design and the sound of Japanese glass wind chimes are unique and beautiful, and they are never too loud. They are a great symbol of summer, and don’t take up much space. Best of all, anyone from any culture can appreciate them, unlike souvenirs such as chopsticks, which might not be practical for daily life.
デザインと音がどちらも独特で美しいからです。それでいて、その音がうるさすぎることがありません。代表的な夏の風物詩で、小さいので場所もそんなに取りません。なんと言っても、どんな文化圏の人でもそのよさがわかってもらえることが、日常生活では使いみちのないお箸などのお土産とは違い、風鈴のいい点です。

Daruma
だるま
理由は？
No other culture has anything like Daruma. It is such a simple, wonderful concept (make a wish, fill in an eye), and you can get Daruma in all shapes and sizes to fit your suitcase or a new home. It is truly an icon of Japan, and one you can buy almost anywhere. What family member, friend, or coworker wouldn’t want a charming, lucky souvenir like a Daruma?
他のどんな文化にも、だるまのようなものはありません。とてもシンプルでありながら、願いが叶うことを祈って片目だけ書き入れるという見事なコンセプト。さらに、スーツケースに入るものから、新居に置くためのものまで、さまざまな形や大きさのだるまを手に入れることができます。これこそ日本の象徴です。そして、どこでも買うことができる。家族でも、友人でも、会社の同僚でも、だるまみたいにかわいらしくて、縁起のいいお土産をほしがらない人がいるでしょうか？

外に出かけて、歩き回ることが大好きで、出かけたらだいたい、どこかで食事をしたり、お酒を飲んだりします。クライアント（受講生）が上達するのを見ることができるだけではなく、さまざまな面白そうなことを薦めてもらえるので、この仕事、教えることが本当に大好きです。楽しいことが尽きないですからね、日本は！

SENTOL
セントル（栓抜き）
理由は？
This is really useful and never ceases to amaze...
such a great invention but most people have never heard of it before (Japanese included!) It's an instant conversation starter the first time my friends see me open a bottle with it. I think it could be a big hit in other countries (especially Australia) where people drink a lot of beer out of bottles, or a fun promotional product for companies to label and give to their customers.
これはすごく便利で、毎回驚かされるんです…。
こんなにすごい発明なのに、日本人も含めてたいていの人はこれについて聞いたことがありません。
これでビンの栓を抜くのを初めて見る友人とは、すぐにこれについての話が盛り上がります。 これは他の国、特にオーストラリアで大ヒットする可能性があります。あるいは、（企業や製品の）名前を入れて、お客さんに配る、楽しい販促グッズにもなるかもしれません。

Plastic food sample from Kappabashi

理由は？
The craftsmanship is amazing and each sample is unique.
The best samples look so real, even close up, and there's something available for any budget, from a tiny piece of fruit to whole dishes of food. M
My absolute favorite sample gift is a sushi clock, with chopsticks for hands and a different kind of sushi for each hour marker.
I gave my parents one and they love it!
信じられないような職人技で、ひとつひとつのサンプルがとても優れたものだからです。
本当によく出来たサンプルは本物そっくりで、近くで見てもわかりません。小さなくだものから、いろいろな料理にいたるまで、予算に合わせて選ぶことができます。
食品サンプル関連のお土産で一番好きなのは、針がお箸で、文字盤にいろんな寿司が描かれている「寿司時計」です。
両親に買って帰ったら、すごく気に入ってくれました。
