樹海を説明しよう

There is a vast field called "Aokigahara Jyukai" at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

富士山のふもとには「青木ヶ原樹海」と呼ばれる原野があります

From the summit, you can see the wavy trees of Aokigahara field.

富士山の山頂から見ると木々の形が波のように見えます

You cannot use compasses in the field.

樹海に入ると、方位磁石が正しい方位を示せず、使えません 

The forest is deep and filled with trees, so you can easily get lost if you take the wrong path.

樹木が多くて深い森なので、決められた道を外れると戻る方向を見失います 

It is the most famous suicide spot in Japan.

「自殺の名所」と言われています 

There is a field tour where you can be guided through the field safely.

安全に樹海を見学できる「樹海ツアー」などもあります 

The increasing number of tourists walking through the field is causing destruction of the forest.

近年、決められた道を外れて歩く人が多く、自然環境が破壊されています
