Thanksgiving day is National holiday celebrated in Canada and USA for giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest.

Family and friends gather and celebrate and eat a lot of food!! 

サンクスギビングはカナダとアメリカで家族や友達などで集まり、収穫に感謝をする祭日です。

It is the busiest food preparation day.

食事の準備で最も忙しくなる日でもあります。

It is always on the 4th Thursday in November.

毎年11月の第4木曜日となっています。（アメリカの場合）

The day after Thanksgiving day is called Black Friday!

Most stores in America have big sales on this day.

サンクスギビングデーの後の金曜日はブラックフライデーと呼ばれる日。

アメリカ中のほとんどの店で大々的にセールが行われる日です。

A lot of people go shopping, and it’s almost like a shopping war. It's kind of scary.

大勢の買い物客が店に押しかけて、買い物戦争のような恐ろしい日でもあります。

Many stores open at 5am, and people wait in long lines for the special Big Sale Items like electronics.

Sale items are limited, and people line up from the day before. 

目玉商品になると（特に電気・電化商品）、なんと朝の５時から開店する店も多く、個数が限られているので前日から並ぶ人もかなり多いです。

I thought American people don't like to wait for the long line.

私は、アメリカ人は並ぶことが好きではないのだと勝手に思っていました。

Even my children's friends waited outside of a store before Friday to get the special sale, some people even camp for 2 or 3 days.

私の子ども達の友達も限定商品を買うために前日から店の前に並びました。

2～3日前から店の前にテントを張って並ぶ人もいるそうです。

The winter in Arizona is mild, so compared to other states, I think it is easier to wait outside.

アリゾナの冬は温暖なので、他の州よりも店の外で並ぶのはまだマシなのでしょうか？

I have never waited in a line for the Special sales on Black Friday, but I have gone regular shopping on that Friday….

I was very discouraged when I saw the long lines at the check out register.

私はまだ一度も目玉商品目的で並んだことがありません。

たまたまブラックフライデーに普通の買い物に出かけたところ、あまりのレジの長さにげんなりしました。

My husband warned me that I might grow to hate shopping if I go out on Black Friday, and that I shouldn't go…

旦那にあれほど、『ブラックフライデーは買い物が嫌いになるかもしれないから、行かない方が良いよ！』と言われたのに……。

I should have listened to him.

旦那の言うことを聞けば良かったと反省中です。
