On February 18, 1866, when Kiyotaka KURODA went to Kyoto
along with Takayoshi KIDO, Shigeomi MIYOSHI, Yajiro SHINAGAWA,
feudal retainers of the Choshu clan, and Mitsuaki TANAKA,
a lordless samurai of the Tosa clan, to
form the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance, Murata followed Saigo to
meet them
in Fushimi.
