There are two interesting things about gyudon.

牛丼屋にはふたつの特徴があります

First, in most gyudon stores, you buy a food ticket from the ticket machine near the entrance and give the ticket to the staff.

ひとつは、入り口においてある券売機で商品のチケットを購入してから、店員に渡すというシステムです

The ticket machine system is very useful if you want to eat something in a short time, because it is time efficient.

時間があまりないけど、ご飯が食べたい人にとってかなりの時間の短縮になります

Secondly, gyudon stores are open for 24 hours.

ふたつ目は、牛丼屋は24時間空いているということです

You can pop in whenever you like.

夜遅くにお腹が減ったらいつでも行けます

By the way, Yoshinoya and Sukiya do not have ticket machines, but their menus have pictures.
