夏祭りに誘って案内しよう

There are yukatas for children and adults, for both girls and boys!

浴衣は子ども用から大人用、女性用も男性用もありますよ

You can purchase a yukata set that includes geta sandles and an obi belt at places like Aeon Mall, Uniqlo and Donkihote.

イオンモールやユニクロ、ドン・キホーテなどで、下駄や帯までセットになっている浴衣セットを買うことができます

You can find yukata sets for around 4000 yen at stores like this.

こういったファストファッションのあるお店では、セットで4000円くらいから買えます

If you go to a kimono store, you can find designer yukatas there.

着物屋さんに行けば、デザイナーズのものも買えます

You can also find yukatas at department stores like Marui in the summer.

デパートや丸井などのファッションビルでも、夏なら浴衣を買うことができます

The material is higher quality so they cost more, but they have both traditional and modern patterns so you could probably get more wear out of it than you would one from a cheaper store.

素材もいいので少し高いですが、伝統の柄やモダンな柄があり、ファストファッションのお店のものより長く着られそうです

If you don’t know how to put on a yukata you can find instructional articles online, or you can go to a beauty salon and they will put it on for you.

浴衣の着付けができない時は、ネットでもやり方が調べられますが、美容室ならきれいに着せてもらえますよ

There are various foods for sale like yakisoba, grilled squid, candy apples and cotton candy. So you should try eating those at night!

焼きそばやイカ焼き、りんごアメ、綿あめなどの出店があるので、夕食はそれを食べるのもいいですよ

You can also buy drinks like juice, tea, beer and other alcohol.

出店ではジュースやお茶、ビールなどのアルコールも買えます

It’s slow paced, so you can learn as you go by watching other people.

ゆっくりした踊りなので、他の人のを見ながら踊るといいですよ

A game where you catch goldfish is popular with the children.

子どもたちに人気なのは金魚すくいです

You try to scoop the goldfish out of a pool using a paper scoop called a “poi”.

水槽の中の金魚を、「ポイ」と呼ばれる紙が貼ってある道具を使ってすくっていきます

Because it’s made out of paper, when you put it into the water it will break easily.

紙でできているので、水の中に入れると破れやすくなります

Using the wet paper scoop, you try to scoop out as many goldfish as possible.

破れやすくなった紙の「ポイ」でなるべくたくさんの金魚を獲ります

There’s a trick to doing it successfully, but do you want to try together?

多くのコツが必要ですが、一緒に挑戦しませんか？

You can take home the goldfish that you catch.

獲った金魚は持ち帰れます

Once the bon-odori is over, the fireworks show will start.

盆踊りが終わると、花火の打ち上げが始まります

Normally summer festivals will end by drinking beer while watching the fireworks show.

一般的な夏祭りでは、最後に花火が上がって、大人はビールを飲みながら眺めます

Find a spot to sit and enjoy the fireworks while enjoying a beer!
